Our Story
LIFE Hinglish church is part of Delhi Bible Fellowship – Gurgaon, which comes under a larger network of congregations in the Delhi NCR called Delhi Bible Fellowship.
Delhi Bible Fellowship started in 1968 in Delhi in the living room of Rev. Murray Carter with a handful of people. Since then the church has grown to more than twenty congregations all over the National Capital Region and has been a faithful witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ over the past 54 years.
LIFE Hinglish church started as a bible study group for the young adults of DBF Gurgaon Phase 3 English congregation in 2017. Initially, it was attended by only a handful of young adults, but God slowly grew this group from ten to thirty, and eventually to around 50+ young adults. Seeing this growth in 2019, a Hinglish service was started fortnightly on Saturdays. This service showed future potential for a Hinglish church. So, it was proposed to go ahead and plant a Hinglish church in 2020.
However, Covid delayed the plans and all of us moved into one online bible study. Then in 2021 after being hit by a much more devastating second wave of Covid. We were reminded again that Christ and his Church is the only hope for all the nations. And so, we officially launched LIFE Hinglish Church online in July 2021 and then physically in November 2021.
